About Michelle

Born December 9, 1951 Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Michelle Holzapfel has over four decades of experience turning and carving native hardwoods in Southern Vermont, where she lives. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the U.S., Australia and Europe.

This archive is dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of handwork bequeathed to me by maker ancestors: loggers and trappers, weavers and seamstresses, quilters and metalworkers. May future makers take inspiration from this archive of objects, presentations and writings.
