Acrobats references childhood ‘circuses' with my siblings. Our acrobatic act was death-defying to us, laughable to our adult audience. A three-lobed white birch burl was carved into three little bowls as well as the linking twisted ‘rope’ forms, then bleached. After they were carved apart I realized many configurations could be formed. The ‘carpeted’ base gives the acrobats a good grounding.
