A lidded maple box joined and carved to resemble cable knit, with cedar lining. Walnut "buttons". Watco and Minwax oil finish.

My early Knitting Baskets were made with great seriousness to illustrate and ennoble the labor of women’s hands. Longevity has given me opportunities to lighten this gravity with a bit of levity and function.
